Life begins at Halcyon

Halcyon History

Never Stop Asking How and Why

Research has always been an integral element of Halcyon’s heritage. Product innovation and delivering great outcomes for our home owners can only come from ongoing formal and informal research. From simply asking questions and listening to our home owners in informal chats, to undertaking more formal research Halcyon seeks to never stop asking how and why.

A most recent example was two research programs conducted in 2009 involving Halcyon Parks, Caloundra.

Griffith University Queensland and National Property Research were engaged to study lifestyle and financial outcomes for home owners.

Research by NPR was directed towards an analysis of capital gains for houses re-sold at Halcyon Parks over the previous 4 years. This independent research demonstrated that annual capital gain for Halcyon Parks' houses was 74% greater than surrounding residential housing on the Sunshine Coast, a finding that helps to reinforce the value of living in a Halcyon community.

But money isn't everything.

By undertaking regular surveys and conducting focus group discussions with our home owners, Griffith University Queensland researchers provide ongoing independant feedback to Halcyon on management, suggested improvements, and future direction for Halcyon communities.
