A new way, a new beginning

With a desire to change the face of retirement living by simply giving people what they wanted, Halcyon was born in 2003. Legal Practitioner, Mr Paul Melville and Medical Practitioner, Dr Bevan Geissmann thought they saw a huge gap in the retirement market that they felt was not being met.

The founding directors were familiar with traditional retirement communities and felt that this model was not meeting the wants and needs of Australia’s over 50's. So working with a passionate team of consultants determined to make a difference, the Halcyon model was created. This new model would allow home owners to buy a new architect designed home in a gated masterplanned community, free up capital from their existing home and join a community of like-minded people.

Over 550 people now live in Halcyon communities on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts in South East Queensland, and with more communities planned and in the creation stage, Halcyon is certainly on a successful growth path.
