Here comes the sun

Halcyon home owners are dedicated to fuelling the deployment of renewable energy systems in an effort to help reduce global warming. Ultimately this will save substantial amounts of cash on their household electricity bills. Already there are 120 rooftop solar systems being utilised by home owners at both Halcyon Waters and Halcyon Parks. The rooftop systems average eight solar panels per household which translates to 1.5 kilowatts of energy.

For a household that currently receives an average quarterly bill of $300 ($1, 200 per year), this will see the bill reduced down to just $12.50 per quarter or $50 per year once the 1.5 kilowatt solar roof system is installed. That means on average a saving of $1,150 per year on the electricity bill.

In terms of saving on dangerous carbon emissions, the average Halcyon household will save 3,960kg per year (which is equivalent to about 36 strapping front row forwards!). Collectively Halcyon home owners are already saving a whopping 500 tonnes of carbon emissions per year and doing their bit to help save our planet.

One Halcyon Waters home owner, Doug Naumann, has just received his last quarterly bill and his electricity was absolutely free. Not only was his electricity free, but he also received a $300 rebate on his quarterly bill. This means he’s on track to receive a rebate of $1,200 per year... Imagine multiplying this by 120 home owners and the rebates are in excess of $140,000!
