‘Live’ at Celebration Park

With a history of putting on great events in Halcyon Waters' private Celebration Park, it was no surprise when over 380 Halcyon home owners, family, friends and future home owners filed into the parks’ vast green spaces and shady spots to enjoy Halcyon’s third annual ‘Jazz in the Park.’ This time over 22 musicians kept the smooth jazz sounds coming all afternoon, including a stand out performance by Australia’s renowned jazz soloist Kim Durant, and a superb set by keyboard maestro, Dr. Clare Hansson that had the crowd cheering for more!

As with every Halcyon outdoor event whether it’s ‘Jazz in the Park,’ ‘Concert in the Park’ or even ‘Opera in the Park,’ the Lakehouse bar run by popular Halcyon Waters’ Caretaker, Mark Young always proves to be a fashionable spot to quench the thirst or enjoy a delicious hamburger down by the lakeside.

Just like a mini big day out for over 50’s, Halcyon always provides some diversionary entertainment for a change of pace from the live music. One of the more unique activities is laser clay target shooting which always draws a large crowd with shooters competing for prizes and bragging rights within the vibrant community.

And it wasn’t just the big kids who had all the fun, a quick look around the park and it was easy to spot scores of grandchildren with their faces painted looking more like tigers, lions, fairies and Princesses, with the odd Spiderman mixed in!

For many, ‘Jazz in the Park’ was a great chance to take a leisurely look through Halcyon Waters’ latest and greatest display homes and check out the remaining ‘Neighbourhood homes’ which are still available for sale in the latest release.

Blessed with perfect weather and deemed an overwhelming success, the music soon died down in Celebration Park, before it was struck up again in the Leisure Club as revellers continued the party well into the evening.
